United Church crestWhat is the Comprehensive Review? In 2012, the 41st General Council directed that a task group be established “to examine the comprehensive vision and circumstances of The United Church of Canada and develop a report and recommendations for the 42nd General Council 2015 that will best enable the church to live faithfully in God’s world at this time in the church’s life.” What has the Comprehensive Review Task Group recommended? After two years of intensive study and consultation, the Comprehensive Review Task Group is recommending major changes to The United Church of Canada that would revitalize and nurture a range of ministries, simplify governance and administration, and enable the church to live within its resources. Maundy Thursday Ecumenical & Intergenerational Communion Service

CropperCapture[9]

This year, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Coldwater will be hosting an ecumenical Maundy Thursday Communion service on Thursday, April 2nd at 7 pm preceded by a community supper at 6pm. Rev. Debbie will be participating in the service along with Rev. Courtney Morris-Crawford, Rev. Bright Yun and Rev. Ron Maclean. The supper will be a simple yet hearty meal of soup and bread before we all go upstairs for the service.

This intergenerational service will be a time to remember Jesus’ last supper with his friends in the upper room on the night before he died.  It is an intimate and meaningful service that we hope all will participate in as we journey together through Holy Week.  If you are willing to help out by making a large crock pot of soup to contribute to the meal, please let Rev. Debbie know by calling Unity United at 705-835-2903 or by filling out the form below.
