SUNDAYS AT 9:55AM

Activities

There’s always something on the go at Unity United Church—and there’s room for you to jump in! Our activities are a great way to meet new people, learn something new, try something different, share your talents, and have a little fun along the way. Sing a song, make a card, lend a hand in the kitchen or the garden, help out at the market, or simply come and enjoy the company. Bring a friend, come on your own, or invite someone new—however you arrive, we’ll be glad to see you. If you’d like to take part, volunteer, or find out what might be a good fit, please contact the church office. We’d be happy to help you get connected.

Choir

Wednesdays at 7:00 pm

Our small but mighty choir meets every Wednesday at 7:00 pm and would love to have you join us. Whether you’re a seasoned singer or simply curious, all are welcome to share their voices and be part of our vibrant musical community!

For more information, contact our music director.

Fitness

Tuesdays at 9:00 am – $3/session

If you’re looking for a fun, supportive way to get moving and connect with others, our Women’s Fitness Group is the perfect fit! We meet every Tuesday at 9am for gentle, volunteer-led workouts designed for all abilities—no experience needed.

Our sessions use simple equipment like hand weights and resistance bands, and feature some line dance moves to keep things lively and enjoyable. Come as you are, bring your energy, and get ready to move!

Adult Godly Play

First Sunday of each month from October to June.
9:00 am in the Sunshine Room

Godly Play is a creative and reflective approach to Christian formation that invites us to engage with faith through story, silence, wondering, and response. Rooted in parables, sacred stories, and liturgical action, it creates space for participants to reflect deeply, explore meaning, and become more attentive to the mystery of God’s presence in their lives.

Roadside Market

Saturdays in August
Check our Facebook for dates and times

Our annual Roadside Market brings the community together in support of the church. Bakers share fresh baking, gardeners bring seasonal produce, and those who make preserves offer the bounty of their work. Guests can purchase peameal on a bun with caramelized onions and a coffee or tea and enjoy catching up with neighbours or making new friends as they enjoy breakfast.

Gardening

As Needed

Our Garden Care Committee is dedicated to enhancing the beauty of our church grounds through seasonal gardening activities. Each spring, volunteers come together to plant flowers and refresh planters, giving our outdoor spaces a vibrant new look. Throughout the summer, the team maintains the gardens by watering, weeding, and tending to plants, ensuring they remain healthy and inviting for all who visit. As autumn arrives, members help with the fall cleanup, preparing the gardens for winter and keeping our church looking neat and welcoming year-round. If you enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for gardening, consider joining us to help create a beautiful environment for our faith community!

Card Making

Four Times a Year

Absolutely no experience needed! Join us for a fun, creative gathering four times a year where you’ll discover the joy of crafting beautiful cards in a warm and welcoming group.

It’s a great way to unwind, meet new friends, and make something special—why not give it a try?

Caroling in the Parking Lot

Caroling in the Parking Lot is a joyful Christmas tradition that brings our church family and neighbours together to share favourite carols in a festive outdoor setting. We gather in the parking lot, often around a warm fire, to sing and celebrate the season. Afterward, we head indoors to enjoy hot chocolate and sweet treats. Please check our Facebook page for the date and time.
