Church Life
Sunday Service & Coffee Hour
Worship begins at 9:55 a.m. each Sunday, and newcomers are always welcome—whether you are visiting for the first time, returning after time away, or looking for a church community to call home. Our services include prayer, music, scripture, and opportunities for reflection and connection. Familiar hymns, newer songs, choir anthems, and special music enrich our worship experience. The minister’s message explores how the stories and teachings found in the Bible speak to the challenges and joys of today. Children are welcome to stay in the sanctuary at the activity table or join Sunday School downstairs with a member of the congregation. After worship, everyone is invited to Coffee Hour—a relaxed and friendly time to enjoy refreshments, meet new people, and share in the fellowship that makes Unity feel like home.
Music
Music offers a special way to experience and celebrate the presence of God. It has a unique power to touch the heart and create memories that last long after words are spoken. At Unity we are blessed to have both a digital grand piano and a beautiful organ. Along with our dedicated church choir, special music is shared by talented members of our congregation and community, and each Christmas we are delighted to welcome the Georgian Shores Concert Band.
If music speaks to your soul, you will feel right at home at Unity.
Sunday School
Our Sunday School is small at the moment but we remain committed to offering a welcoming space where children can come to know Jesus. Through Bible stories and activities, kids are invited to explore faith in creative, hands-on ways.
Families are welcome to join us as we nurture the spiritual growth of our youngest members.
Communion
At Unity, we celebrate the sacrament of communion every 4–6 weeks, and everyone is welcome at the table. This sacred time is a meaningful part of our life together as we remember the love of Jesus Christ shown through his death and resurrection and share in God’s grace as a community.
Pastoral Care
At Unity United Church, pastoral care is a quiet but important part of how we care for one another. Through visits, phone calls, prayer, and compassionate support, the Minister and Pastoral Care Team reach out to those who may be experiencing illness, grief, loneliness, or other difficult times. Whether you are new to our church, exploring faith, or looking for a caring community, we hope you will find kindness, comfort, and a sense of belonging here.
Membership
Memorial Cemetery Service
Each June, we gather for worship at Vasey United Cemetery, 5096 Vasey Road, Midland, to honour and remember those who have gone before us. We warmly invite anyone who has family or friends buried in the cemetery to join us. The service includes hymns, prayers, a message, and fellowship time, all outdoors in the beauty of nature. Please bring a lawn chair and check our Facebook page for this year’s service date.
